Scott - Lead Singer and All Around Badass

Behind the Scenes

On Sunday, I had the wonderful help of two assistants.  One of them took some behind the scenes photos to show some of the action.

I started the shoot with Jet West at their manager's house in front of some life size art.

Soon after we moved to Sunset Cliffs at the bands' favorite surf spot.  If was quite an adventure to climb down the cliff with all the gear (especially the part where we had to rappel down a rope).  Holly did their makeup as usual.  She the best makeup artist I know.

The sunset was awesome.  There were two flat rocks out in the near part of the coast line.  The tide was coming in quick, but I was able to get out to one and the band on the other for some great shots.

Stay tuned for a few of the final images.

Brenna's Wedding - Wedding Photography

On Feb 28, Brenna took her husband's hand and jumped into the next step of their lives. Their new journey begins in upstate New York, 3000 miles away.  The wedding was held at a winery just outside Yosemite.  They got married in a cave underground.  Here are a few of my favories.

Jet West Band Headshots

Jet West headlined at Winston's last Friday (March 5th). I had the privilege to photograph them for a set of headshots, group shots at the venue, and some live performance on stage. Here's the first photo I've finished of Derek, their Drummer. Let's just say they made my job easy!

Please respect the copyright.
I met Chris Warner, one of the band's guitarists and singers, on a cruise to the Mexican Riviera. I was talking with one of my girlfriends in the atrium listening to band play, and Chris jumped up on stage and started jamming with the band for about an hour. I have to say I was impressed.

They are in the middle of recording their first album and will be shooting their first music video coming up here in two weeks.

Hula Moves for All Abilities - Event Photography

I can't say this enough! Jen from Hula Moves is one of the most giving, positive, AMAZING people I know. On Feb 5th, she put on a charity event for the disabled community of San Diego County down at the War Memorial Building. Although the weather was dark and gloomy outside, you stepped into the gymnasium, and you couldn't help but smile at her amazing energy. She led two groups (teens and adults) in a hula dance with the help of Amy, one of Jen's good friends.

Amy has been in a wheel chair almost all her life, but she has never let that hold her back in anything she does. The pair brought the house down. They performed "Tiny Bubbles" in a much appreciated encore. Here are just a few pics from the event.
